A hidden gem
This was a great place to stay while we were in Byron for the night. Close enough to walk to town and only $10 in a maxi taxi if you need a lift at night. Great hosts who really make you feel welcome on arrival, who also keep this motel in tip top condition. I will certainly stay here from now on when I'm staying in Byron. We booked last minute for a 2 night stay at Sunseeker and I am SO glad we chose this motel! Very clean, well appointed, spacious rooms (we had Unit 8) with a cute balcony that overlooked the swimming pool. The owners were extremely welcoming, chatty and very friendly! We walked from the Railway Hotel one of the nights and it took about 20-25mins - got a cab to town the following night which cost all of $8.80 so location is great if you want a quiet nights sleep. We were looking for a motel for our last night in Australia, on the way to Brisbane airport to fly back to the UK the next day. It was a great choice - a last taste of Australian hospitality! We were welcomed at reception by Greg and Nigel who made us feel at home straight away and made recommendations for where to eat etc in the town. The room was very clean and comfortable, with doors leading straight onto the beautiful landscaped pool area. We left in the morning wishing we had been able to spend more time there. For the price this place is hard to beat. Everything you need in a Motel, & the couple who run the place are incredibly nice. We needed a place for one night and for the price this Motel is an incredible value.HawaiianStyle808
